Wow. Goodbye 2007. Last year was a blast. I have so much fun, so much adventures and surprizes. 2007 has been a great year for me and my family. Philippine Economy has been improving, slowly but surely, and I predict the economy will keep up unless our trapo’s decides to ruin the momentum.
Here is my opinion to the present president. And please, I don’t speak in behalf of the entire Filipino people, so if ever you have a rude comment about it, please don’t do so.
Our country hasn’t been progressing radically for the past years, we are getting there, but with such a slow pace. There are instances, wherein we can already say, that “damn, we are almost there”, but most of the time, it is always a wish.
I am absolutely disgusted with the opposition. And I am going to admit it, I am slightly biased with the administration. For the feeble reason that I do not have a rational choice.
I personally don’t think that GMA is a corrupt president. Unless, I will be bombarded by hard evidences that she is doingit. There are accusations, but I believe that these accusations are lame attempts to throw her out of power.
Honestly, I don’t think she is doing a great job. But I think, that she is doing her best. Being a president is not a walk in the park. I can barely imagine myself being a prexy. It is emotionally draining, physically overwhelming and mentally challenging. Imagine waking up in the morning being served with a breakfast composed of tragic disasters, political onslaught, international meetings, and options for economic growth. To be the president, is like being a CEO of 150 companies.
So in 2010, we will have a new leader. And I am pretty sure that the Filipinos will have a pretty bunch of nice options for the position. Unless Erap will vie again for the spot, I think there is another chance of a nationwide chaos and political tragedy.
This is just a guide in choosing a president.
1. A good education.
2. A good political background
3. A charisma for masses and PR for the elitists
There is no formula in choosing the President. One recommendation is to research about the candidates. Don’t feed yourself with too much information you get from the media (95% of them are tremendously euphemized). So do investigate. Eradicate the assholes in the government.
