as you all don’t know, i am currently employed in a telecommunications company in makati. i am in sales. and i have a bond. a 1 1/2 year bond. Effective February 8, 2008, I am already free. so i took the chance, one lazy Wednesday afternoon, of going to the most beautiful building in makati (that would be enterprise center), dropped my resume in one of the popular ad agencies in the world – Leo Burnett. Nah, I was just attracted to the graffiti-clad walls of the agency. Monday next week. It was my exam. I can hardly fix my eyes to the items. Darn, math?!!??? i fucking hate math. i have severe disgust towards numerical statements, i palpitate just by merely looking at the XY combination. Man, i think i just failed the exam even before taking it.So this is it. I asked God to give me a sign if i will  pursue my career in sales/telco. and He just did. God, deliberately made the exam, he knew i am a non-algebraic person. I will have another month or so with my present company. well, i have no regrets.i feel like i am no longer performing well with my current employer. i feel so exhausted already and i think my performance is dwindling drastically.i don’t want to be a failure. i want to be always on top.i have to get the vios.i have a goal. and that is to kick ass!and show them the meaning of sales.and be the youngest senior account manager at the age of 22.woohoo….

Cool. About 96.78% of what is stated in the result is freaking true. Yey!

What Gian Means

i don’t know. i just love them. i glorify them. i envy those who have them. gadgets, and tech stuffs makes me wild, it makes my mouth waters, every next-generation makes me drool for more. the sublime, the slime, the smooth and silky, the aluminum-brushed effect, the sleekness, the mobility, the minuteness, the gadgets sheer desire to shock and awe and make our credit cards tired of endless swiping.

ah, the iPhone. Why were you conceived, curse the man who brought you to existence. You are the epitome of modern-day transistor radio.

me and my mom. every time we fight, hell’s open. i just don’t get it. i have been living with my mom for 21 years but she still doesn’t understand my psychological determinations. she should have known how easily i react to small things, more often in a violent way, and do necessary actions to stay away from me when this inclinations are highly-tangible.

so, here’s the list of things, acts, environments, just to say “anything under the sun” that pisses me off. this will aid those who know me, or would like to know me expect.

1. i hate it when my mom tinkers with my things. i know, even the slight turn of my book, the almost invisible change of angle of my cellphone, God, when will parents ever learn that we have our own domain.

2. i hate it when my mom scolds me when i buy something that she is not aware, or when i buy clothes because she thinks i have a too much clothes already. Mom, if i have more than 30 sets of clothes, i wouldn’t have a hard time re-shuffling my clothes.

3.  i hate it when my mom tries to say things in a different way. i would appreciate mom if you would speak direct to the point rather than take a different slant.

4. i hate it when my mom exaggerates things or statements.

5. i hate it when my mom tries to be the center of the topic. she is an attention-magnet.

6. i hate it when my mom ask me to clean up my bed. Mom, nobody sleep in my bed other than me. so, the hell i care if i sleep in my cluttered-messy bed.

7. i hate it when my mom always assert her authoritative position. Mom, this is a democratic country, i can freely express my opinion, whether distorted, maligned or perverted…hehehe….

8. i hate it when my mom turns thrifty. hindi bagay sa kanya.

9. i hate it when my mom is overwhelmed with emotions. she cries like a river.

10. i hate it when mom is not around, or my mom is not in the house when i go home because i just love her food, when she is in pain because i can barely resist giving her a massage, or when she is broke because i have no choice but to lend her my dime, or when she is sad because I don’t want to see her sad, or when she is mad because I don’t want her to break her blood vessels.

hehehehe….i still love my mom. what makes you mad makes you appreciate her more. Right?

1. Who the hell is Tila Tequilla? seems like everybody in the US knows her. Her name itself is already a walking curiosity.“Tila Tequila, is an American hot item because of her hugely-popularized show “A Shot at Love with Tila Tequilla” where she swings both ways (that means guys and girls). Ethel Booba has a competition.

2. Jessica Alba is pregnant. Yes. the hottest girl in Hollywood is pregnant, and she is still beautiful.

Wow. Goodbye 2007. Last year was a blast. I have so much fun, so much adventures and surprizes. 2007 has been a great year for me and my family. Philippine Economy has been improving, slowly but surely, and I predict the economy will keep up unless our trapo’s decides to ruin the momentum.

Here is my opinion to the present president. And please, I don’t speak in behalf of the entire Filipino people, so if ever you have a rude comment about it, please don’t do so.

Our country hasn’t been progressing radically for the past years, we are getting there, but with such a slow pace. There are instances, wherein we can already say, that “damn, we are almost there”, but most of the time, it is always a wish.

I am absolutely disgusted with the opposition. And I am going to admit it, I am slightly biased with the administration. For the feeble reason that I do not have a rational choice.

I personally don’t think that GMA is a corrupt president. Unless, I will be bombarded by hard evidences that she is doingit. There are accusations, but I believe that these accusations are lame attempts to throw her out of power.

243690902_716e34b3d9.jpg

Honestly, I don’t think she is doing a great job. But I think, that she is doing her best. Being a president is not a walk in the park. I can barely imagine myself being a prexy. It is emotionally draining, physically overwhelming and mentally challenging. Imagine waking up in the morning being served with a breakfast composed of tragic disasters, political onslaught, international meetings, and options for economic growth. To be the president, is like being a CEO of 150 companies.

So in 2010, we will have a new leader. And I am pretty sure that the Filipinos will have a pretty bunch of nice options for the position. Unless Erap will vie again for the spot, I think there is another chance of a nationwide chaos and political tragedy.

This is just a guide in choosing a president.

1. A good education.
2. A good political background
3. A charisma for masses and PR for the elitists

There is no formula in choosing the President. One recommendation is to research about the candidates. Don’t feed yourself with too much information you get from the media (95% of them are tremendously euphemized). So do investigate. Eradicate the assholes in the government.

Not so good. Man, I still have no sale.

Sa mga gustong payuhan ako kung paano magtipid, please feel free to do so. hehehe

Basta, kailangan mabayaran ko lahat ng utang ko, at magmove-on sa pangalawa kong desire – an iMac or a Notebook. Wuhooooo!

Sheet……

the philippine tv at its worst

let me have an opinion on this. besides, i have studied Media Studies in college, thus i feel compelled to do so. let this be a guiding light for the future of Philippine free TV who despite the obvious intensity in the ratings war is becoming worse.

the obvious lack in Philippine TV is ethics. no wonder, despite the bombardment of GMA-7 that they are now ruling the ratings war, I really don’t care. Filipinos are now switching, not to them, but to the cable TV. Both are facing the wrong enemy, the enemy is the foreign TV, now that the Solar TV brought the foreign channels in the free TV.

i assume you have heard of the latest ratings scandal that now turned into a trial by publicity. I don’t support the two stations. I think they made the greatest PR blunder in Philippine media so far. ABS-CBN taking this issue so seriously that they orchestrated the expose so well, and GMA-7, trying to win the sympathy of the Filipino people but only making them more cocky and unethical.

What they should do is shut-up and face the real problem of Philippine TV. The dwindling quality of shows, the feeble attempt to make more important issues like poverty vis-a-vis Politics more visible to the public, the desperate resort to celebrate celebrity rather than to nurture the gift and talent of the individuals (Look at Marian Rivera, I  think she is a prettiest girl in primetime, but Siete just did a great job in making her a marketing material rather than making her a great potential). I am sorry to tell, but I can only count the actors and actresses in Philippine showbiz who can act. The rest are just so-so and all faces.

The Filipinos used to watch local shows everyday. Home Along da Riles unstoppable comical relief, Magandang Gabi Bayan’s amazing stories about the floras and faunas, Balitang K’s daily dose of unbelievable topics. These shows are worth watching for. I can barely watch the pathetic costume of Zaido (that looks like an airbrushed recycled Plastic) and The Buzz’ loudness (they’ve just made it to the top of the noise polluters in the nation.

So, you see, I pity both 2 & 7. they think they are doing a great job, but sorry, I feel like you haven’t changed a bit.
