SECOND DAY AT THE GYM. 6:45 PM November 7.

Pagod na pagod ang aming mga muscles. pero dahil nalalapit na ang pagpunta sa Boracay, desidido kami, lalo na ako na pagtibayin ang aming mga muscles.

Hay. so habang ginagawa ko itong post na ‘to. Nanakit ang aking mga kasu-kasuan. Ang sakit ng baywang ko, parang naover stretch yata ang muscles ko sa part na ‘yun

Top Ten Travel Targets (Places I would like to go to only if I have lots of money) Obviously, I need money to go this spots, so right now, I am definitely gonna start saving cents for certain. I have been through lots of places in the Philippines, and I am looking forward to my trip to Boracay and Hundred Islands. Local explorations are still the best and easy way.

5. Chartres Cathedral in Chartres France (where atheists would feel uncomfortable)

Some info about the place: Chartres is truly one of the greatest of all French Gothic cathedrals. Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Chartres is located less than 100 km (about 50 miles) south of Paris and is considered to be one of the finest examples of the “high Gothic” style of architecture. This picture is the rear view of the cathedral. Chartres possesses the “Holy Veil,” (Sancta Camisia) a garment belonging to the Virgin Mary. This is a holy relic of the Catholic faith. The existence of an altar dedicated to Mary can be proven as far back as the 6th century. Early pre-Celtic Pagan cultures may have worshipped here from the very beginning of their arrival in this region of Europe. For more information, look at my other pictures, of the Northern facade, the Labyrinth, and the 24 hour clock.

Why would I go there? Because I am inspired to go to church if the church looks like a church. Hindi niyo siguro ako ma-gets, ganito na lang kasi ang simbahan namin sa aming baranggay ay hindi mukhang simbahan, ayoko ng modern-looking na simbahan. Parang hindi ko nafefeel si God. I have seen Chartres cathedral in NGC, and I was astounded by its grandeur and the struggles of building it (if I am not mistaken, the church was built more than 60 years, it was nearly stopped by the feud between the aristocrats and the catholic church). The outer part of the cathedral was glory in itself, but the inner part was simply breathtaking. It’s like renewing your faith 100%.

4. Paris, France (better than the city)

I believe, I need not elaborate on this. Looks like a great combination of steel and natural beauty. Unbelibabol.

3. Hundred Islands, Philippines (Love at first web sight)

The moment I saw Hundred Islands from the photo stream of my office mate, I knew this place is destined for me. I will be here in due time.

This place is the stone steps to heaven.

2. The Mt. Samat Cross (Bataan). A hike worth it.

I have been here once, I have reached the peak of the cross. The view was spectacular. Man, I would love to be here once again.

1. The statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro

Christ the Redeemer is a statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The statue stands 32 metres tall, weighs 700 tonnes and is located at the peak of the 700-metre Corcovado Mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park, overlooking the city.

I will not consider this places as dream. I must go to this place. I have faith in the future.

Good Nyt and sweet dreams

tadann! the gender equation and the diminishing gentleman
Nobyembre 8, 2007, 3:44 hapon
Isinalansan sa: Argumentis

this blog post is inspired by my recent trip to MRT yesterday. the culture that a guy must open the door for a lady has been present in our society for ages. and the gentleman is diminishing.

plus.

a girl can perfectly inspect a guy’s penis in a physical check-up. while a guy shouldn’t even dare touch a female’s breast in a clinic, unless he is old and he is already physically deprived of erection and the capacity to harass.

there is a problem with the equation.

i will not shout that it is unfair, i will never question the gender equation, i just feel a little disappointed. not that i wanted to protest and insist on the argument (well, males are already doing vaginal operation already, so the argument is somehow weak), but i wanted to see it again in another perspective.

as i always insist, my argument is always situational. i do not generalize my opinion.

the question of power. guys are more powerful than girls. untrue. even the other way around. power is unequally distributed, one sex cannot assert power in a general sense. for I do not belong in that perceived “male power”. I am physically weak, I can’t even hurt a cockroach.

enough of this. i couldn’t explain more.
